Current Issues
The West Midlands Councils Strategic Co-ordination Unit is a service which enables, facilitates and co-ordinates regional, sub regional and local activity where collective working will add value for councils in the West Midlands. This service can be used in a flexible way to support councils whether they are acting as corporate organisations, policy makers, in facilitating partnerships, or as directed as deliverers of services.
The Unit's work is driven by the issues which are important to Councils. The current issues can be followed using the menu on the left of this page. We host a programme of themeatic events, seminars and knowledge shots which enable members and officers to explore important issues in detail. Details of these can be found in our events calendar.
