The People and Leadership Development Workstream
The People and Leadership Development Workstream has been allocated £2.3 million from Improvement and Efficiency West Midlands to support leadership and people development in the region over the next three years, to achieve the following regional objectives:
- A commitment to improving regional leadership, both member and officer, as a key driver of continuous improvement within the West Midlands;
- An increased recognition of people and development issues in large organisational change and transformational programmes;
- Evidence of core ‘skills set development programmes’ for officers and members within organisations;
- A significant decrease in identified areas of occupational skills shortages;
- 90% of local authorities within the region committed to achieving the West Midlands Member Development Charter.
