Focus on You
Introduction
Focus on You is a new programme designed for employees who are looking to develop themselves and make a difference to the organisation they are in.
The programme has a number of key focus areas which include;
- Developing self awareness.
- Committing to taking responsibility for your own personal/professional development.
- Re-energising and refocusing.
- Putting yourself in the best position for the future.
- Taking stock and taking charge of your future.
The programme runs over 5 separate days and is modular based to cover a wide variety of areas designed to enhance and develop your personal and professional development.

Who should attend Focus on You?
The programme is developed for people who are not in senior roles, management or supervisory positions, so the programme is essentially available to a whole group of people who may perhaps be seeking new ways to develop themselves both now and for the future.
What will Focus on You involve in terms of time?
Attendance at 5 one day modules spread over 4 - 5 months
Small /limited amount of work between modules, there really isn't a lot so don't be put off by this!
Programme dates?
There are two programmes currently available, with one starting in April and the next one in October 2012. Full details are shown below along with the appropriate closing date for each programme.
Programme One
Module One - Wednesday 4th April 2012
Module Two - Thursday 6th April 2012
Module Three - Thursday 17th May 2012
Module Four - Monday 11th June 2012
Follow up Day - Wednesday 5th September 2012

Module Two - Tuesday 23rd October 2012
Module Three - Wednesday 14th November 2012
Module Four - Thursday 6th December 2012

How to apply for a place, costs and booking form
If you are interested in applying for a place on this programme, please discuss this with your manager and then contact me, Shane O'Callaghan at s.ocallaghan@wmcouncils.gov.uk to register your interest or if you have any particular questions.
You will then be sent a booking form with full terms and conditions, to complete and return to us.

Once applications have been received all applicants will then be contacted and advised if successful in obtaining a place and it may be that in some cases we will need to discuss your application to ensure that this is the right programme for you.
The progamme is limited to 12 participants and will be based at the West Midlands Councils office, Partnership Centre, Birmingham, B1 2RA. Directions and map to the Partnership Centre can be found here
The price to attend "Focus on You", is just £475 in total plus VAT per employee for the whole programme
