Daphne Network Meeting a success

West Midlands European Service recently held a meeting for the West Midlands Daphne Network.  The meeting hosted by Dr Martin Wright from the University of Wolverhampton provided an opportunity for Daphne project promoters to provide an overview of their project activities which include work around Women Rough Sleepers, Trafficking, Street Violence, Dating Violence and Domestic Violence.  Project promoters were able to share lessons and ideas on how they see their projects developing over the next two years as well as look at common areas of interest.

The network discussed EU policy news on the Criminal Justice Sector and looked at ways in which projects could work as a collective to disseminate learning and influence national and European policy makers to ensure issues effecting groups facing violence are were addressed.  The Network also examined the possibility of joint working on future Daphne Calls and other programmes.
