Health

The Government published its White Paper on health in July 2010. Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS sets out the Government's long-term vision for the future of the NHS. The vision builds on the core values and principles of the NHS - a comprehensive service, available to all, free at the point of use and based on need, not ability to pay.

There are a number of significant impacts on local authorities set out in the White Paper and therefore West Midlands Councils provides regular policy updates and forums for information sharing and debate for its members.
