Opening Address - Jan Britton
This year's conference will be opened by Jan Britton, Chief Executive of Sandwell MBC
Jan Britton has recently been appointed Chief Executive of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council following an 11 month interim spell. In that time Jan has undertaken a comprehensive senior management review and restructure while driving forward an improvement programme including the successful letting of a £650m integrated waste and cleansing service contract.
Jan is a great advocate of coaching and the WM Coaching Pool actively supporting its use in Sandwell. He is delighted to be asked to speak at this year’s conference to share his experience of coaching as well as thoughts on how coaching can help local authorities and similar organisations through the huge challenges we all face.
