Associate Partner Services (APS Scheme)
The Associate Partner Services is the subscription arm of West Midlands Councils (formerly West Midlands Leaders Board and WMLGA) which provides non local authority organisations with access to a wide range of important regional resources.
It enables subscribers to access information on the work of West Midlands Councils and emerging local government policy and legislation. As an Associate Partner, organisations can also access the products and services offered by WMC at special discounted 'member' rates.
What does the subscription include?
APS members have access to the following:
- Discounted rate for venue hire at the WMC Partnership Centre - to access our venue leaflet click here
- Human Resource Services and Consultancy - access to our team of HR professionals for free basic advice and at discounter member rates for more specific support (our rates are generally lower than those in the Private Sector)
- Keeping in Touch - the electronic newsletter of WMC providing an overview of current policy, priority issues and changing legislation for local government and its partners
- HR Bulletins - and electronic newsletter from our HR Team providing briefings on current issues, changing legislation and key information for HR practitioners
- NJC/JNC Circulars and National Agreements - outlining changes in the National Conditions of Service for employers
- Training and Consultancy Services - the WMC teams offer a range of training, consultancy and interim support services and subscribers can access these at discounted member rates
- News from Europe - WMC's unique West Midlands European Service provides intelligence on European issues and helps organisations to access European funding
- WMC Publications - free copies of helpful publications and information booklets produced by WMC
What does APS cost?
Our APS subscription runs from April to March and a pro rata rate will be applied for organisations subscribing during the year. In recognition of the financial pressures currently facing our sector, West Midlands Councils have agreed to reduce the APS subscription for 2011-2012 by 40%. Therefore all these WMC services will be offered to subscribers for just £270 plust VAT from April 2011.
