West Midlands European Service (WMES) was established at the end of June 2010 to help a range of organisations including universities and businesses within the West Midlands to gain access to European Funding and European business opportunities. WMES brings together the ERDF funded EU Connects (EUC) project, based in Birmingham and West Midlands in Europe (WMiE), based in Brussels. By bringing these two services together, WMES will seek to offer organisations one service based in two offices that is efficient and fully meets their needs in terms of Europe.
WMES Birmingham offers advice, support and assistance to organisations applying for European Funding. It focuses particularly on those organisations that are new to the process of securing European funding. More information
WMES Brussels focuses on promoting the West Midlands in Brussels and helps organisations identify and develop proposals to secure European Funding also. The office also offers a range of facilities and services for organisations to develop their profile in Brussels as well as advise on European Business Development. More information
